Harmonica features a genuinely-sampled 10-hole diatonic harmonica. Both single notes and chords are playable, as are “blow”, “draw”, and “bend” notes. Harmonica includes all 12 keys—it’s like having 12 harmonicas in your pocket!

Harmonica couldn’t be simpler to use. Simply touch your lips to the Harmonica and play away. You don’t even need to blow! If you’d prefer not to put your iPhone in your mouth, Harmonica works with your fingers too.

To begin playing Harmonica right away, simply choose a song from the built-in song library. You can watch a demo of your chosen song, or play along with the easy-to-follow guides that show you exactly which notes to play.

And because Harmonica simulates a real instrument, don’t forget you can play along with regular harmonica sheet music too.

What exactly is a “draw” note? On a real harmonica, you can blow air outwards through the chambers, or you can suck air inwards (i.e. drawing your breath). Doing so plays a different note. In Harmonica, simply hold down the Draw button to play these notes.

You can play chords — multiple notes at once — by holding the Chord button.

And “bends”? Simply slide your finger along the Bend control to lower the pitch of the current note. This lets you play notes not otherwise available within the current harmonica‘s scale.

If you‘re playing along with your favorite song on the radio, you‘ll need a harmonica in a matching key. Fortunately, Harmonica includes all 12 keys — from G to F# — so you’ll always sound in tune.
